The charismatic singer and blues harmonica player Blind Dog Mayer, brings his unique blues sound to the stages in the German and European blues landscape. He is characterized by his honest attachment to the blues. Thus, the blues of Blind Dog Mayer is deeply rooted in the traditions, but without closing itself to new influences!

With his unmistakable voice as well as his multifaceted harp playing, the Saarland native has long since made a name for himself in the blues scene. In the course of time, he has earned an extraordinary reputation thanks to his wide-ranging activities. The musician stood as a sideman as well as a special guest, for national and international blues greats like among others: Big Daddy Wilson (USA), Aynsley Lister (UK), Flo Bauer (FRA), Blues Company (GER), Thomas Blug (GER), Louisiana Red (USA), Dr. Slide (GER/USA), Henrik Freischlader (GER), Rudy Rotta (IT), Pete Lancaster (GER) and many others.

So the experienced harmonica player shared the stages in the festival line up's over the years also with big stars like: Robert Cray (USA), Steven Seagal (USA), Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado (DK), Al Di Meola (USA), Canned Heat (USA), Richie Kotzen (USA), B.B. & The Blues Shacks (GER), Rozedale (FRA), Jimmie Vaughan (USA), Zed Mitchel (GER), Archie Lee Hooker (USA), The Paul DesLauriers Band (CAN), Budda Power Blues (PL), Maceo Parker (USA), The Brew (UK) and B.B. King's daughter Shirley (USA). And that, are just a few names of his long creative period....

As frontman and co-founder of his last Rough Blues Band, he released in 2018 the live EP "live at stummsche reithalle", which made it from international airplays, to the Top 10 of Amazon Music best-selling albums and new releases in the Blues section; as well as in the hit tracks Top 100 in the Netherlands at #5. The Saarland native has shown his musical skills at many renowned festivals, such as the Jazz & Bluestage Verden (GER), Blues Express (LU), International Seydel Harmonica Festival (GER), or the well-known Blues 'n Jazz Rallye in Luxembourg.  Whether as a bookable solo act for musicians and bands, or with his own band, Blind Dog Mayer knows how to inspire on the stages!

As a support act he opened concerts for Klaus "Major" Heuser (ex BAP), for headliner EZIO (UK), Dudley Taft (USA), Larry Garner (USA) & the Norman Beaker Band (UK), Walter Trout (USA) and also for Glenn Hughes (UK), as part of various bands!

Blind Dog Mayer, is not to forget his sign already since 2012, C. A. Seydel 1847 Harmonicas Ambassador. He coaches and teaches beginners the basics of learning the blues harmonica. In doing so, he also passes on valuable tips and tricks from his many years of practice, which are not to be found in any textbook.

In 2019, he got another prestigious "award", with an endorsement as WORLD's 1st blues harmonica player in the International Artist Roster, at the legendary British cult amplifier manufacturer "ORANGE Amplifiers"! Orange names the musician from Saarland in their "Voice Of Blues" campaign as "Harmonica Guru" and puts his very own stamp on the music and the artist.

Since the beginning of May 2021, Blind Dog Mayer is also brand ambassador for the Dutch manufacturer "Husky Mics and Harp Gear" for the European market.
